A Wonderful Whole School Nativity Celebration 2025
Kilham C of E Primary School enjoyed a truly special celebration this December with the success of our whole school Nativity performances at the All Saints Church on Tuesday 16th and Thursday 18th December. The children did an amazing job retelling the Nativity story while thoughtfully reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas.
This marked the first time in many years that Kilham School has come together as a whole school to perform a Nativity, making the occasion even more memorable. The performance, beautifully written by Mrs Davies, brought every child together in a joyful and meaningful celebration.
The church looked wonderful as the children filled the space in full costume, including shade-wearing Magi, dancing sheep, sparkling stars, angels, and of course Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus. The story was brought to life through a mix of narration, movement and much-loved songs such as Bumpy Journey, Knock Knock, and The Guys with the Camels.
The Nativity concluded with a blessing from Rev Steve, before the congregation joined together to sing Away in a Manger and O Come All Ye Faithful, creating a truly uplifting and festive atmosphere.
Over 200 parents, grandparents, friends and family members attended across the two performances, helping to make this a wonderful build-up to the Christmas holidays. We are incredibly proud of all the children and grateful to everyone who supported this very special event.
We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our staff, whose hard work, dedication and teamwork made this Nativity possible. From rehearsals and costume preparation to music, organisation and encouragement, their commitment ensured that every child shone and that the performances were such a success.
