Remembrance 2025

Children in Year five and Year Six at Kilham School were involved in a Remembrance Day service on Tuesday 11th November 2025. Children from EYFS through to year 4 joined together in the school hall to remember all of the dead from wars around the world and joined in a two-minute silence.

Children in Years five and six were involved in their annual service organised by Reverend Steve Cox at the war memorial outside of Kilham All Saints Church. During worship this week the children learnt about the lives of soldiers from the Kilham area who lost their lives in WW1 and WW2. The school children then wrote the names of all of the soldiers from Kilham on crosses which were presented and then later planted at the foot of the memorial.

Following the service children went into the church, where detailed information about all of the soldiers from Kilham were on display in the pews. Church staff were available to talk to the children about areas of the church dedicated to the memory of those who died in conflicts around the World.

Thank you to all of the parents, governors, children and members of the local community who joined in the Remembrance Service.

Prayer below by E Chase.
