Musical Theatre Peter Pan Performance
Magical "Peter Pan" Performance Dazzles at Kilham Primary School
On Tuesday, 1st July 2025, the hall at Kilham Primary School was transformed into Neverland for a truly magical performance of Peter Pan, presented by the school's Musical Theatre Club. The show was the result of a full year of dedication and creativity, with children from Year 1 through to Year 6 taking to the stage in a spectacular display of talent and teamwork.
The Musical Theatre Club, which has been meeting every Tuesday after school for the past year, has provided a space for pupils to explore drama, music, and performance in a fun and supportive environment. The performance of Peter Pan was a culmination of their hard work, and it truly paid off.
Children had worked tirelessly to learn their lines, and their acting was nothing short of fabulous. Many children sang solos with confidence and emotion, filling the room with beautiful singing that moved the audience. Each child brought their character to life with energy and enthusiasm, and it was clear they had thrown themselves wholeheartedly into the roles.
What made the evening even more special was the inclusive nature of the production. Some children faced additional challenges, but the performance gave them a chance to shine. Being part of a team on a "level playing field" helped build confidence and pride in their achievements - something that did not go unnoticed by the audience.
The atmosphere on the night was electric, with proud parents, carers, and members of the public in attendance. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many commenting on how impressed they were by the children's confidence and the overall quality of the production.
The Peter Pan performance was not only a showcase of talent but also a celebration of what young people can achieve when they are supported and encouraged. A huge well done to all the children involved, and a big thank you to the staff and volunteers who helped make the evening so unforgettable.
