Class 1 Sewerby Trip 25th June 2025
On Wednesday we enjoyed a successful trip to Sewerby Hall, where the children took part in a range of engaging activities. Our day began with a visit to the animal enclosures. The children were particularly interested in the guinea pigs, birds, monkeys, goats, and penguins, and they shared plenty of thoughtful observations as they explored.
Afterwards, we took a walk through the pirate-themed garden, where the children took note of the various plants and flowers, including the roses. We then stopped for lunch on the grass, giving everyone a chance to relax and chat in a calm, outdoor setting.
In the afternoon, we took the land train to the beach. The children enjoyed the ride and made the most of their time by playing in the sand, collecting shells, and spotting a small crab in the seaweed.
We finished the day with some time at the play park back at Sewerby Hall, where the children made good use of the climbing equipment and open space before heading back to school.
I want to thank you all for your support in making this trip possible. Your cooperation with organising packed lunches and ensuring the children were well-prepared contributed to the success of our day out. I highly recommend that you discuss this experience with your child, as they were so eager to share their adventures and new discoveries.
Thank you once again for your continued support. We look forward to more exciting outings in the future!
