Spanish Day 2023
Children and staff at Kilham school had a fun-filled day on Thursday 12th October, celebrating the National Day of Spain. The Spanish flag flew above the school, as children (and staff) came in dressed for the occasion. The school was a sea of red and yellow and there were plenty of matadors and flamenco dancers as well as many other fantastic costumes!
We had a special visitor, Ms Pearce, the head of languages from Driffield School, who came and shared an assembly with us and then went on to teach our Key Stage 2 children some Spanish and to share a Spanish story with the children in Early years and Key Stage 1.
During the day, the children also learned to dance flamenco, created art in the style of Picasso and tasted some Spanish foods - the churros dipped in chocolate were a firm favourite!
Thank you to all the adults and children who made this a great day for everyone.
