Despite the challenges of working in bubbles across the school, the children all had a fantastic day today supporting the charity - Comic Relief. The support for Red Nose Day across the school was wonderful, we had a huge array of superheroes, red faces, red outfits, red dresses and all of the staff joined in the fun.
Red Nose Day was part of our two-week worship plan, which is linked to children developing a better understanding of compassion. All of the children understand the idea of being a compassionate person and living a compassionate life. We have also learnt that supporting charities that help people in need is a great way of showing some compassion for others.
Thank you to all of our families who helped their children make, build and buy their amazing outfits and costumes. Our Red Nose Day donations are very important and help the charity tackle important issues including homelessness, hunger, domestic abuse and mental health stigma, all of which have been exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic. The charity supports amazing organisations across the UK and around the world.
The school raised:£219.48 - Thank you to everybody for their kind donations.
