"Encourage one another and build each other up." (Thessalonians 5.11)
As a school, we are looking at engaging all of our children with a love for reading and asking parents to be supportive and challenging of the amount of time their children read each day and of the quality and difficulty of the books their children are reading at home.
To support the work above, the school has launched a 30 day reading challenge with children bringing home their challenge booklet and working on their reading at home.
30-day reading challenge winners.
Congratulations to the three children below who were the eventual winners of our 30-day reading challenge. The challenge was a real success with over 90 children completing the challenge which equates to 450 hours of children across the school reading with parents at home. Parents, even though the challenge is now complete, please continue to hear your child read as often as you can, we know that it makes a real difference to their reading progress.
