"Encourage one another and build each other up." (Thessalonians 5.11)
At Kilham School, we are always looking for ways to keep our pupils active both in school and at home. We have sadly had to cancel our highly anticipated sports day this year, but this hasn’t stopped us organising some fun activities for children both in and out of school to take part in. Our ‘Sports Week’ beginning on Monday 6th July will see children from across school taking part in events throughout the week, and we would love for children at home to take part too!
Have a go at any or all of these events, and send us your pictures, videos and scores. This can be done via your class email, or to our school twitter page @KilhamCEPrimary. We have made each event easily adaptable, so we hope you have lots of laughs making these events work for you at home! We hope our children both in and out of school enjoy taking part in something together, even if it is virtually!
Day One- Balance Race
On Monday, we all ran 10m as fast as we could with something balanced on our heads! Some of us used books, some used beanbags, but we all had lots of fun! Well done to all our class winners, and everybody that persevered and took part!
Day Two: Welly Wanging is our new favourite sport! We had some amazing attempts this morning, and it was something that most of us had never tried before. A brilliant activity that made us all giggle.
Day Three: Today was a very exciting day at Kilham School, as we invited children unable to return to school before September in to take part in a special sports day! Years 2, 3, 4 and 5 all took part in a range of fun activities. It was a wonderful treat for both the children and the teachers to see each other again. Check out our pictures and videos below!
Day Four: Sack Race
The whole school enjoyed this sports day classic! We were all very impressed with the skill and determination we saw!
Our final sport of the week was a Hula Hoop competition! We've all had a brilliant week and enjoyed getting out and moving during the school day.
